In 1978, IRS (S) PTE LTD was established in Singapore. In 1980, IRS PRECISION Co., Ltd. was established. In 1982, it began producing and selling jumper connectors, making a full-scale entry into the connector field. In 1983, IRS Precision Co., Ltd. was renamed Ibaraki IRISO Electronics Co., Ltd.
