Isku

Isku is a Finnish furniture company that designs and manufactures furniture for various spaces including working, learning, health & care, and restaurants. It emphasizes sustainability and Finnish design, with production in Lahti, Finland.

Isku was founded in 1928 when Lahden Puukalusto Oy was registered as a limited company. The company was founded by Eino Vikström along with his partner Matti Metso, who sold his share in 1929. Since then, 100 percent of the share capital has been owned by the Vikström family. In the 1930s, ISKU started to specialise in manufacturing office furniture. During the Second World War, the company faced a decline in furniture manufacturing and supplied coffins, boxes for transportation, and caskets for ammunition for the Finnish military. Timo Vikström, the second generation, joined the business.
