J. Wagner GmbH (WAGNER Group) is a German manufacturer of coating technology for surface finishing. According to its official company page, it serves three customer groups: industry, contractors and do-it-yourself enthusiasts. For industry it offers equipment and systems for applying fluid coatings, powder coatings and paint; contractors use its tools with technologies including airless to apply paint, coatings and plaster; and for DIY users it has developed a range of home-improvement products. The company describes itself as one of the leading international manufacturers of coating technology for the finishing of surfaces.

WAGNER's official history page states that on 2 May 2022 the company was 75 years old, and it presents a chronicle titled 'Josef Wagner - Born to be an entrepreneur'. Among the milestones listed: in 2017 HEA (High Efficiency Airless) nozzle technology was brought to market; in 2018 the IPS coating system, described as the first fully automated powder-coating system, was introduced; in 2019 J. Wagner GmbH built and occupied another office building in Markdorf with 1,200 m² of usable floor space, the COATIFY web-based information and management platform was launched, and IONIQ Skincare GmbH & Co. KG was incorporated as a result of the WAGNER freiraum incubator; and in 2020 the WAGNER Academy opened new training facilities. The 2016 entry notes that the WINNOVATION 2025 strategy launched and the WAGNER freiraum incubator opened.
