A market rumor claimed that the ultra-luxury Zunjie SUV project under HIMA (Hongmeng Zhixing) was planned to be handed to Seres for production and that the Zunjie brand might abandon its SUV model plans. As of the October 12 close, Seres A-shares hit the daily limit-up while JAC Motors shares fell 3.08%, with its market cap dropping below 50 billion yuan. Responding to the rumor, an internal JAC Motors source told Yicai that 'this is false information'; as of publication, Seres had made no formal public response to the rumor.

The State Administration for Market Regulation launched defect investigations into 10 commercial vehicle manufacturers and urged recalls, involving 56 models and 1,675 vehicles in total. The companies involved include Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, Foton, Jiefang, JAC and Sinotruk affiliates; the defects include noncompliant protective devices, roof bars, reflective markings and departure reminders. JAC is recalling 1,266 iEVA50 vehicles; the battery management software strategy may cause the cell voltage difference to widen, and in extreme cases high-voltage power-off and the vehicle losing power may occur. Former chairman An Jin investigated three years after retirement and expelled from Party
In April 2024, An Jin, former Party secretary and chairman of JAC Group, was placed under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision three years after retirement. In October of the same year, a notice said he was expelled from the Party, and the suspected bribery crime was transferred to the procuratorate. The notice said he engaged in power-for-money and power-for-sex transactions. The case was transferred for review and prosecution.

JAC recalls Ruifeng S3 vehicles in China

Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan covering 84,186 Ruifeng S3 vehicles produced from January 20 to December 24, 2015. A possible weld defect in the fuel-tank filler connection could cause fuel leakage and, in extreme circumstances involving an open flame, a fire. JAC said it would inspect affected vehicles and replace defective fuel tanks free of charge.
Stated objective. To eliminate the safety hazard.

本次召回范围内部分车辆由于零部件供应商生产工装维护不良，燃油箱加油口接头下部与燃油箱本体焊接位置可能存在焊接缺陷，导致车辆运行一段时间后加油口部位可能发生渗油现象。在遇到明火的极端情况下可能发生火灾，存在安全隐患。

On the 2013 CCTV 3·15 gala, JAC Tongyue, Heyue and other models were exposed for using steel plates without anti-rust treatment, making their bodies prone to corrosion. JAC immediately apologized and announced a recall of about 117,000 vehicles for handling.
