Jahn Reisen

Jahn Reisen was a German tour operator founded on 1 May 1979 in Munich by Friedrich Jahn, the then head of Wienerwald. Three years later he sold the company to the Düsseldorf-based LTU Group. In 1996, JAHN REISEN GmbH, Munich, was fully integrated into LTU Touristik GmbH & Co. KG. Since 1 January 2001, Jahn Reisen has belonged to REWE Touristik Gesellschaft mbH. In the same year, Jahn Reisen expanded its programme to Austria. Over the years, Jahn Reisen developed into a provider with a broad portfolio: from package tours and round trips to city breaks, beach and wellness holidays. The company was particularly known for high-quality offers and individual travel options aimed at demanding individualists. Between 2006 and 2013, Rewe's package tour operators operated under the name "REWE Touristik GmbH". Jahn Reisen has since been a brand of this company. Since 2013, Rewe's package tour operators have operated under "DER Touristik Köln GmbH". Since May 2023, Jahn Reisen has been fully integrated into the DERTOUR brand. As early as summer 2023, no separate Jahn Reisen catalogues were printed, and the website jahnreisen.de now redirects directly to dertour.de. The tourism division of the Rewe Group contributes 2.97 billion euros, or 5.8%, to group revenue and is number 2 in the German tour operator market with a market share of 17.89%.
