PT Jakarta International Hotels & Development Tbk

PT Jakarta International Hotels & Development Tbk (JIHD) is an Indonesian public company whose business journey began on 7 November 1969, when it was established to continue the construction of Hotel Borobudur Inter-Continental (now Hotel Borobudur Jakarta) and to take over its ownership from PT Perhotelan Banteng Baru. The hotel was inaugurated by President Soeharto on 23 March 1974. JIHD became a public company by listing its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 29 February 1984. Since 1992 it has been the controlling shareholder of PT Danayasa Arthatama, the developer and manager of the approximately 50-hectare Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) in Jakarta. Its business lines include hotels, real estate, communication services and hotel management services.

The business journey of PT Jakarta International Hotels & Development Tbk (JIHD) began on 7 November 1969. JIHD existed to continue the construction of Hotel Borobudur Inter-Continental (now known as Hotel Borobudur Jakarta - HBJ), located on Jalan Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, and to take over its ownership from the previous owner PT Perhotelan Banteng Baru. The opening of Hotel Borobudur Inter-Continental was inaugurated by President Soeharto on 23 March 1974, and the hotel had the honor of hosting the PATA conference in April 1974. Hotel Borobudur Jakarta stands on 89,510 m2 of land, has 19 floors and 695 rooms consisting of 228 superior, 179 premiere deluxe, and 288 other types, and also has a "Garden Wing" serviced apartment with 140 units. JIHD became a public company by listing its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 29 February 1984. Since 1992, JIHD has been the controlling shareholder of PT Danayasa Arthatama, the developer and manager of the approximately 50-hectare Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) located in the heart of Jakarta, between Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto and Jembatan Semanggi. JIHD's business expanded into real estate with the start of operations of PT Pacific Place Jakarta in SCBD in 2007. Previously, the telecommunications services field developed by PT Artha Telekomindo was consolidated at the same time as the acquisition of PT Danayasa Arthatama by the Company.
