Overview

Jartazi is a Belgian textile company specialising in sportswear and made-to-measure clothing. It was founded in 1992 by Patrick Stallaert from Dendermonde, who started by printing sportswear in his garage. In 2000 the business became a public limited company (naamloze vennootschap). In 2008 a new NV Jartazi was created, with Jan Vijverman's clothing company NV Jovitex contributing 52% of the capital and Patrick Stallaert 48%. In 2010 Stallaert left Jartazi. In 2018 Jan Vijverman sold Jartazi to Ingeborg Vossen, who now leads the company together with Philip Ploegaerts and a Vietnamese investor. Since April 2018 the company has been based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Jartazi has an international customer base with partners in England, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Croatia and the Scandinavian countries. The brand is particularly visible through sports sponsorship: it sponsored its own eponymous cycling team from 2004 to 2008, managed by Patrick Stallaert, and from 2011 was the clothing sponsor of the cycling team Accent.Jobs-Willems Veranda's for three years. It supplies kit to Belgian football clubs KSC Lokeren, KV Mechelen and Patro Maasmechelen, and in 2010 signed a six-year contract with FC Omniworld. Dutch clubs HSV Hoek and SV Apollo '69 also wear Jartazi teamwear, as does Belgian basketball team Okapi Aalstar. Since the 2018/19 season FC Dordrecht has been the first Dutch professional club to play in Jartazi. The brand entered the Maltese Premier League in 2021–22 as technical sponsor of Sliema Wanderers, and has also sponsored SC Gagnoa in the Ivorian Ligue 1 and Pietà Hotspurs. Jartazi remains a privately held sportswear brand focused on teamwear and custom apparel.
