Overview
JobTV24 is a Berlin-based company that specialises in the production, distribution and website embedding of web videos. It was founded in 2004 as a German private television channel and began broadcasting via Astra Digital in 2006. As audience reach via Astra Digital proved difficult and online video — particularly through YouTube — grew in market share, the business model was gradually transformed. JobTV24 has since withdrawn entirely from the television business and works exclusively on the production and distribution of online videos for online recruiting and employer branding through its own portal jobtv24.de. The portal mainly hosts PR videos in which companies present themselves to qualified workers and highlight career opportunities within the company. Until 2011 JobTV24 consisted of two business units. The JobTV24 unit produced and distributed videos for online recruiting and employer branding and operated its own video platform. The MovingIMAGE24 business unit offered online video technology that allowed online videos to be embedded, managed and edited on websites. In 2011 the company was renamed from JobTV24 to MovingIMAGE24. In 2017 it was renamed again to movingimage EVP GmbH. The company was headquartered on Eiswerder island in the Berlin district of Spandau until January 2012. Today its offices are located at the Mediaspree site in the Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain district. On its own website and partner sites, JobTV24 records more than 16 million video views per month. JobTV24 has received industry recognition for its corporate video work. Its online video 'IT@BMI erleben', in which JobTV24 presents the Federal Ministry of the Interior as an employer, won first prize at the Best of Corporate Publishing Award in 2010. A corporate video conceived and produced by JobTV24 for BMW MINI, 'MINI-Verkäufer – Hausbesuch', won silver in the 'Best Use of Video' category at the BCP Award 2011.
