JUNGHANS Microtec GmbH is the German company within the JUNGHANS Defence umbrella brand, headquartered in Dunningen-Seedorf on the edge of the Black Forest. Together with JUNGHANS T2M SAS in La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, France, it develops, designs and manufactures fuzes of all kinds, from artillery and mortar fuzes to fuzes for infantry grenades, rockets, missiles and torpedoes. JUNGHANS Defence is a joint venture of the Diehl group (Germany) and Thales (France) and has supplied large international armed forces and ammunition manufacturers with fuzes and safety devices for many years. The JUNGHANS name traces back to a clock factory founded in Schramberg, Germany, on 14 April 1861 by Erhard Junghans.
