  Controversy Over Down Jacket “Renamed and Priced Up by RMB 900”

  In December 2025, Kailas was reported to have raised the price of a similar down jacket by about RMB 900 after changing its name, and the product in question subsequently went out of stock and was delisted; the founder's earlier remark that “we earn too little” resurfaced, triggering consumer criticism. In 2023, a Kailas T-shirt also failed a Shanghai clothing spot check. Brand reputation was damaged.
