Its product and service portfolio includes industrial brakes, solenoids and actuators, door locking systems, industrial control systems, industrial clutches, inductive heating systems, and pneumatics and fluid control. In 2024 Kendrion completed the sale of its Automotive business to Solero Technologies, shifting to a fully industrial-focused company concentrated on two core business groups: Industrial Brakes and Industrial Actuators and Controls.

History

Kendrion states that three words have guided its evolution since the beginning: Precision. Safety. Motion. In 2024, Kendrion completed the sale of its Automotive business to Solero Technologies, marking a strategic shift towards a fully industrial-focused company. This step allows Kendrion to concentrate entirely on its two core business groups: Industrial Brakes and Industrial Actuators and Controls. With a strong focus on industrial automation, energy solutions, medical components, and electrification, Kendrion continues to drive innovation and deliver high-performance solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. In 2021, 3T, initiated in 1994 and described as a leading design house for electronics and embedded systems in the Netherlands, was to become part of Kendrion's Industrial Actuators and Controls (IAC) business group. In September 2020, Kendrion stated its goal to make INTORQ Aerzen the competence center for spring-applied brakes, moving production and employees of Kendrion Aerzen (previously Magneta GmbH & Co. KG) to INTORQ's facilities. In 2020, INTORQ was described as a German market-leader in state-of-the-art spring-applied brakes.
