History
KidStrong was founded in 2015 by Matt and Megin Sharp in Lexington, Kentucky, for their daughter Ella. Their goal was to make her stronger and more confident. This goal led them to partner with child development experts and create a unique curriculum focused on the critical skills kids need to succeed. Megin and Matt partnered with Lincoln Brown to turn the idea into a scalable business, aiming to help as many families as possible. The original business plan for KidStrong was written on a tablecloth at Ted's Montana Grill in Lexington, KY. Since then, KidStrong has experienced rapid growth. There are now more than 160 locations serving more than 65,000 kids per week, demonstrating its strong market appeal and a proven business model that has generated success for franchisees in markets across the US and Canada. KidStrong celebrated its 100th center opening with franchisee Barb Volk in Plantation, Florida.
