History

Kwalee was founded in 2011 by David Darling CBE, a key architect of the UK games industry who previously co-founded and led Codemasters. The company has been making games for over a decade. Its team includes Andrew Graham (creator of Micro Machines) and Jason Falcus (programmer of classics including NBA Jam). The Kwalee name comes from an Australian Aboriginal word meaning 'wait for me', a homage to David's grandfather who taught him electronics and had a sailboat of the same name.
