Overview
Lactacyd is an intimate skincare brand founded in France in 1947 by scientists. It describes itself as the intimate skincare brand with organic and natural ingredients, with a purpose to draw out the best from within your skin. The brand launched in Asia with feminine wash products in 1988 and later expanded into baby wash in 2010. Its products are marketed around a pH-balancing proposition powered by LACTOBIOME+™, and its range includes feminine wash, body wash and baby wash.
History
Lactacyd was founded in France in 1947 by scientists, for the skin, to prevent irritants and factors that affect its best condition. In 1988 the brand launched in Asia with feminine wash products, and it states it has served consumers in Asia for over 40 years. In 2006 it became the No. 1 feminine hygiene wash in the world. In 2010 it launched its Baby Wash product line, powered by its expertise in gentle skin care. In 2019 its first brand purpose campaign was launched together with the celebration of International Women's Day. In 2020 it started holistic sustainability initiatives that saved paper, plastic, water and energy consumption. In 2023 it refreshed the Lactacyd brand with a new positioning and purpose: "Skin speaks, we listen." In 2025 it began a new journey as a skin health brand, helping consumers to "UNLOCK THE POWER OF HEALTHY SKIN FROM WITHIN."
