LebeL

LebeL is a Japanese professional haircare brand that was created in 1977 as the first original cosmetics brand of Takara Belmont. Its products are sold exclusively through hair salons or to hair-salon technicians, and the brand positions itself around supporting hair designers and salon professionals. The brand statement is 'All for you to shine,' and its philosophy centers on exploring both 'universal beauty' and 'the beauty of the times.' Its product range spans hair color, perm, hair care, styling, and men's beauty series.

LebeL was born in 1977 when Belmont Cosmetics Co., Ltd. was established and the cosmetics brand 'LebeL' was created; the cream-type hair color 'TOP MODEL' was launched the same year. In 1978 a Takara Belmont cosmetics factory was completed in Shiga and production began. The brand name was changed to Lebel Cosmetics in 1991 and to LebeL in 2008. Over the decades the brand released numerous products, including SILKY TOUCH FREEM (1983), LEBEL MOUSSE (1984), COLOR PALETTE (1988), SUPER SILKY (1990), Natural Hair Soap & Treatment (1992), COLOR TONING (1994), HAIR MAKE AQUA (1995), CREAM CYS (1996), COOL ORANGE (1998), FORME ARTS (2000), MATERIA (2002), Trie (2004), AIR SILKY (2007), PLIA (2008), LUQUIAS and IAU (2009), Fura (2012), THEÓ (2013), viege (2015), LOCOR and Rufor (2016), Moii and LUVIONA (2017), SEE/SAW (2018), edol (2019), LebeL ONE (2021), and HITA (2022). The brand also started overseas sales in 1996 and held academy events in Shanghai (2003) and Seoul (2005).
