According to the company's About Us page, Lenard 'Poulter' combined his skills of art and butchering with his love for food to develop the concept of value-adding to chicken, and in 1987 Lenard's was born. The first 'The Poultry Shop' opened in Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane.
