Lighthouse Studios is based in Kilkenny, Ireland, a location with a long history of creativity and storytelling. The studio drew inspiration for its name from Ireland's maritime history, referencing the 70 lighthouses along a coastline of over 7,000 kilometers that guide voyagers safely to shore. It started out specialising in 2D animation and each year draws creative souls to Kilkenny Animated Festival, run with fellow Kilkenny animators, Cartoon Saloon. The studio's mission is to create stories worth watching, and it now develops and produces a range of formats — from 2D and hybrid animation to live action — for global streamers, broadcasters and partners.
