History

The Lindhorst Group was founded in 1931 by Ernst Lindhorst and has been in family ownership ever since. Over the years, it has expanded into four business areas: agriculture and forestry, renewable energies, construction and real estate, and care and health. In 2025, the brand received a fresh appearance and a new cluster of Amando Seniorenresidenzen GmbH was founded under Pflegemotive. In 2023, the group expanded its location in Winsen with an additional sustainable office building. In 2021, Curavie, Lavendio, and Libento Seniorenresidenzen GmbH started as clusters of Pflegemotive. In 2020, renewable energies became an independent business area, and several subsidiaries were founded, including Cureus, generation3 GmbH, and Pflegemotive GmbH. In 2019, the group increased its engagement in afforestation and compensation measures. In 2017, Insanto Seniorenresidenzen GmbH was founded. In 2015, renewable energies were added to the agriculture business area. In 2014, Belia Seniorenresidenzen GmbH was founded. In 2008, Alexander Lindhorst founded Aureus Holding GmbH.
