Linvosges

Linvosges is a French home-linen brand offering bed linen, bath linen and table linen. Its own history page states that the story began in 1921 when Charles Prudent, passing through Gérardmer, discovered the local 'blanchiment sur pré' technique and decided to specialise in selling this home linen direct from the factory. The company 'Le Linge des Vosges' was created in February 1923, and in 1931, facing competitors copying its graphic universe and slogan, it changed its name to Linvosges. In 1922 he placed an advertisement in the Easter issue of the Annales politiques et littéraires, which generated more than 500 orders in under a month. The company 'Le Linge des Vosges' was created in February 1923. A shop opened in Nice in 1924, followed by Cannes in 1927 and Vittel in 1928, and in 1928 Le Linge des Vosges published its first illustrated colour catalogue. In 1931, facing many competing houses that copied its graphic universe and slogan in their advertising, the company changed its name to Linvosges. In 1932 Charles Prudent created a network of home representatives, recruiting thirty of them, with the slogan 'Accueillez nos représentants'.
