MA Financial Group is an Australian public company that describes itself as a global alternative asset manager specialising in private credit, real estate and hospitality. It lends to property, corporate and specialty finance sectors and provides corporate advice. The group reports over 900 professionals across Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and the United States, with $15.5 bn in assets under management, $193 bn in managed loans and $135 bn+ in advisory and ECM transactions. Its story began in 2009 as a corporate advisory business, Moelis & Company, in partnership with NYSE-listed Moelis & Company; it rebranded to Moelis Australia on listing on the ASX in 2017 and changed its name to MA Financial Group in 2021.

MA Financial Group's story began in 2009 amidst the Global Financial Crisis. It commenced operations in Australia as a corporate advisory business, Moelis & Company, in partnership with New York Stock Exchange-listed global investment bank Moelis & Company. Honouring its beginnings as Moelis & Company, it rebranded to Moelis Australia when it listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in 2017. Changing its name to MA Financial Group in 2021 reflected the significant broadening of its business activities since its founding as an investment banking partnership with Moelis & Company. It has grown from a corporate advice business into an ASX-listed financial services group, and today specialises in alternative asset management, lending and corporate advice. It grew from a Sydney-based business with just five employees in 2009 to a global financial services company employing over 900 people.
