MeisterWerke

MEISTERWERKE is a family-run production company based in Rüthen-Meiste in the northern Sauerland region of Germany. Since 1930 it has stood for quality, innovation and sophisticated design with its MEISTER brand, and with over 450 employees it develops and produces floor coverings, panels and accessories at its Meiste site for distribution by the wood and construction material trade in Germany and around the world. The company operates three brands: MEISTER, HAIN and moderna. It acquired parquet manufacturer HAIN in 2018 and the moderna brand in 2019, expanding its portfolio with crafted flooring and home improvement products.

Josef Schulte founded a joinery workshop in Meiste in 1930. The company produced parquet flooring for the first time in 1954 and was taken over by the founder's son, Johannes Schulte, in 1972. In 1980 it had 19 employees and celebrated its 50th anniversary. The first directly coated laminate flooring was presented in Hanover in 1992, and in 1993 three products received the 'Blue Angel' seal for the first time. The first quiet laminate flooring was presented in 1999, and by 2000 the company employed 540 people. In 2003 the first HDF parquet flooring with a click system was introduced. MeisterWerkeSchulte GmbH was founded in 2006 with 620 employees. The MasterclicPlus click system was presented in 2008, the nadura surface technology in 2011, and the wood-powder, real-wood 'Lindura' flooring in 2014. In 2018 the MeisterDesign design flooring range was introduced and Hain Natur-Böden GmbH was acquired; in 2019 the moderna brand was acquired. In 2020 the recyclable, rigid-core MeisterDesign.rigid flooring was launched, and in 2021 MeisterWerke won the 'Top 100' Innovation Award.
