Mem Tea

MEM TEA began sourcing, importing, and distributing tea to the food service and hospitality industry, and now provides tea programs to over 1200 cafes, restaurants, and other businesses around New England and the U.S. It runs its own tea shop and training center in North Cambridge, MA. Its wholesale line includes 75+ loose leaf teas and 18 pyramid tea bags.

MEM TEA was founded by Mark Eli Mooradian. Around the time he sold his coffee and espresso company, herbal tea samples from Armenia appeared on his desk, brought by a friend working with newly formed nations after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Upon tasting them, he decided to start a tea company with the mission to source, distribute, and spread knowledge about teas with integrity. In 1999 fine loose tea was scarce, and MEM TEA began sourcing, importing, and distributing tea to the food service and hospitality industry, conducting thousands of tastings and trainings for cafes, restaurants, hotels, and nascent tea companies. Currently, in the spirit of Mark's vision, MEM TEA provides extensive tea programs to over 1200 cafes, restaurants, and other businesses around New England and the U.S., and runs its own tea shop and training center in North Cambridge, MA.
