Overview
MESIT holding, a.s. is a Czech company that has developed and produced highly specialised products and systems for more than 70 years. Their quality is verified in the most demanding sectors, such as aviation or military industry. The company has over 1,000 employees, with 30% having a university background. The MESIT Group companies are technologically interconnected and cooperate in related production operations, allowing them to take the position of general supplier in large contracts. Since 1952, the company has continually developed special and industrial production.
History
The MESIT brand began in the 1950s when negotiations to build the enterprise started with a decision to move the production of aircraft instruments and electronics out of Prague. Originally intended for Přerov, Uherské Hradiště was finally chosen. In 1951, a mechanical workshop was put into operation in the inn U Pučalíků in Mařatice. The ceremonial opening of the newly built premises in Sokolovská Street took place on 10 May 1952. Gradually, the area grew, the first technical laboratory was established, and from 1957 production of aircraft instruments based on own development began. The key product of MESIT in this period became the radio station LUN 3521, also known as Hradišťan. By the end of 1975, approximately 380 types of instruments had been produced, of which almost 330 were processed in the development and construction department.
