mezzo-forte

mezzo-forte is a manufacturer of carbon fiber string instruments, developed and built in Werther, Westfalen. Founded in 2002, the company began carbon development in 2009 and received the Deutscher Musikinstrumentenpreis in 2015 for its first carbon instrument. Since 2011, over 3,500 instruments have been played in more than 50 countries.

mezzo-forte was founded in 2002 in Werther, Westfalen, initially as an importer, refiner, and distributor of high-quality wooden instruments. In 2009, the company began developing carbon fiber string instruments. The first instruments were launched in 2011. In 2015, mezzo-forte received the Deutscher Musikinstrumentenpreis for its first carbon instrument, the first carbon instrument to receive this award.
