Overview

Nc'nean is an independent, organic whisky distillery located in the village of Drimnin on the Morvern peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland. The distillery produces elegant, unpeated whiskies using organic Scottish barley and is powered by 100% renewable energy. It is B Corp certified and verified net zero carbon emissions for scopes 1 and 2. The brand offers a range of products including organic single malt, cask strength single malt, and a botanical spirit.

History

Annabel started Nc'nean to change the way the world thinks about whisky from Scotland. After leaving her job in London in 2013, she spent four years raising funds and building the distillery on the west coast of Scotland. In 2017, the distillery started distilling its own organic whisky. In 2020, the first bottle was born. As of 2021, it became the first whisky distillery in the UK to be verified as net zero carbon emissions for scopes 1 and 2.
