Nihon Trim

Nihon Trim Co., Ltd. is a Japanese company established in June 1982. It operates in the water healthcare business, centered on electrolyzed hydrogen water (alkaline ionized water) devices, and also in medical-related business. The company positions itself as aiming to be a unique company that applies electrolyzed hydrogen water to medical and agricultural fields. Its shares were listed on the JASDAQ market in 2000 (securities code 6788) and later moved to the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section in 2004.

Nihon Trim Co., Ltd. was established in June 1982. In May 1983, it opened the Kochi Sales Office and launched the TRIM ION TI-100 after obtaining manufacturing approval from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. In October 1983, it opened the Tokyo Sales Office. In January 1984, it opened the Kyoto Sales Office; in May 1985, the Hiroshima Sales Office; in June 1986, the Nagoya Sales Office; and in September 1987, the Kanazawa Sales Office. In March 1988, it launched the TRIM ION TI-200, and in October 1989, the TRIM ION TI-4000, both with manufacturing approval. In February 1990, it opened a factory in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture, and in April 1990, the Tokyo Sales Office was promoted to Nihon Trim Tokyo Branch. In August 1991, it opened a research institute in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. In January 1992, it opened the Fukuoka Sales Office; in February 1992, the Hiroshima Sales Office was promoted to Nihon Trim Hiroshima Branch; in May 1992, it launched the TRIM ION TI-MSW; in October 1992, it opened the Okayama Sales Office; and in November 1992, it launched the TRIM ION TI-500. In February 1993, it opened the Sendai Sales Office; in June 1993, it launched the TRIM ION TI-7000; and in October 1993, an employee stock ownership association was established. In July 1994, it launched the TRIM ION TI-5000. In February 1995, it opened the Yokohama Sales Office; in June 1995, the Nagoya Sales Office was promoted to Nihon Trim Nagoya Branch; and in August 1995, it opened the Chiba Sales Office. In April 1996, the factory was spun off as a separate company (now Trim Electric Machinery Co., Ltd.). In May 1997, it published a joint research paper with Kyushu University Graduate School in the BBRC journal. In January 1998, it relocated its head office to 1-8-34 Oyodo-naka, Kita-ku, Osaka City; the Fukuoka Sales Office was promoted to Nihon Trim Fukuoka Branch; and it opened the Omiya Sales Office. In March 1998, it launched the Rakuraku Mate TL-1800, and in December 1998, the TRIM ION TI-8000. In January 1999, it opened the Kumamoto Sales Office and established TRIM USA CORPORATION in Maryland, USA (renamed TRIMGEN CORPORATION in September 2000). In November 2000, its shares were listed on the over-the-counter (JASDAQ) market (Electric Appliances: securities code 6788). In October 2001, it launched the TRIM ION US-8000 (under-sink type). In January 2002, it opened the Shizuoka Sales Office; in August 2002, a new factory was completed in Nankoku City, Kochi Prefecture; in October 2002, it published a joint research paper with Kyushu University Graduate School in the Dutch journal Cytotechnology; and in November 2002, it launched the bottled water "I'm fine". In January 2003, it launched the TRIM SPA (electrolyzed reduced water spa device) TS-1000; in February 2003, its shares were listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Second Section; in August 2003, it published a joint research paper with Taiwan University in the American medical journal Kidney International; and in August 2003, it launched the TRIM ION TI-9000. In January 2004, it opened the Sapporo Sales Office; in March 2004, the Sanin Sales Office; in March 2004, its shares were listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section; in April 2004, it established Functional Water Cell Analysis Center Co., Ltd. (an industry-academia joint venture with Kyushu University); in July 2004, it opened the Niigata Sales Office; in September 2004, the Kagoshima Sales Office; in October 2004, it established Trim Financial Service Co., Ltd. (a credit subsidiary); and in November 2004, it held a "Water and Health" symposium. In January 2005, it published a joint research paper with Kyushu University Graduate School in the Dutch journal Cytotechnology; in September 2005, it opened the Nagasaki Sales Office, the Tokyo Office, and Trim Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. obtained ISO9001:2000 and ISO13485:2003 certifications; in October 2005, it established Guangzhou Duoning Health Technology Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China; in November 2005, it opened the Matsuyama Sales Office; and in December 2005, the Nagano Sales Office. In June 2006, it published a joint research paper with Taiwan University in the American medical journal Kidney International; in November 2006, it began a bottling business in Indonesia with the local corporate group Sinar Mas, under the company name PT. SUPER WAHANA TEHNO. In May 2007, it established Trim Jin Holdings Co., Ltd. (a holding company); in June 2007, it published a joint research paper with Tohoku University Graduate School in the international dialysis society journal Hemodialysis International; and in November 2007, it launched the TRIM ION TI-5HX after obtaining manufacturing and marketing certification for controlled medical devices.

Building on electrolyzed hydrogen water, the company is expanding applications into fields such as medicine and agriculture, aiming to become a one-of-a-kind enterprise.
