Norconsult describes itself as combining engineering, architecture and digital expertise to solve small and large challenges for clients, striving for more sustainable and socially beneficial solutions. It also states that it has designed four key tunnels in the Faroe Islands since 2002, including the 10.8-kilometer-long Sandoy Tunnel, which runs under the fjord from Gamlarætt on Streymoy to Traðardalur on Sandoy and was opened on December 21, 2023.
