History

Page Optimizer Pro (POP) is an on-page SEO tool. It was created by Kyle Roof, Maria Dubretic, and Andrew Steven, three SEOs who have been working together since 2014. The team began developing algorithms based on the thesis that 'the secret to ranking is hiding in plain sight' since 2016. In 2016, they made breakthrough discoveries, including that the actions required to rank in Google change from keyword to keyword and niche to niche, and that the best place to find what you need to do to rank is to analyze competitors' pages. They initially did things by hand, counting keywords and variations, before building their own tool. POP uses a US patented ranking factor scoring system.
