It began with offering affordable recreational bikes and now offers a wide range including cruiser bikes, kids bikes, and electric bikes. The brand focuses on providing functional bikes that do the job well at the best price, without compromising style or quality.

Pedal Bikes was established in 2013, beginning with offering affordable recreational bikes. In mid-2013, the first shipment arrived in Australia. In late 2014, the 'Pedal Heist' brand campaign was created. In mid-2016, Pedal hit its first milestone with 10,000 bikes sold. In late 2016, Pedal launched its kids bike range. In early 2019, Pedal sold over 50,000 units. In mid-2020, Pedal bikes landed in New Zealand. In late 2020, Pedal launched electric bikes. In mid-2021, Pedal sold over 100,000 units. In late 2021, the Pedal Brand Team expanded. In late 2022, Pedal continued to grow its electric bike range with mid-drive electric bikes. In financial year 2023, Pedal sold more e-bikes than any other brand, at 32% of 99 Bike's total units. In financial year 2024, over 45,000 bikes were sold in Australia in a single calendar year. In 2024, Pedal launched into independent bike dealers (IBD).
