Overview

Pittel+Brausewetter is an Austrian construction company founded in 1870. It is one of the oldest Austrian family-owned companies in private ownership. The company operates in Austria and Slovakia, offering construction services in nearly all construction sectors, including road construction, civil engineering, industrial construction, building construction, bridge construction, pipeline construction, track construction, golf course and sports facility construction, as well as revitalizations and pavings.

History

Pittel+Brausewetter was founded in 1870 through the collaboration of Adolf Baron Pittel and Ing. Viktor Brausewetter. The company has remained in private ownership and is one of the oldest family-owned companies in Austria. In the late 19th century, the company recognized the possibilities of building with concrete. Due to industrialization, the company grew within one generation to a large enterprise with more than 20 branches and numerous subsidiaries in the area of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. A well-known building from this period is the 'Loos-Haus' in the first Viennese district at Michaelerplatz 3, which was built according to the plans of the famous architect.
