Prettier is an opinionated code formatter. It supports many languages, integrates with most editors, and has few options. It formats code on save, removing the need to discuss style in code review. It works with JavaScript, JSX, Flow, TypeScript, JSON, CSS, Less, SCSS, styled-components, styled-jsx, HTML, Vue, Angular, Ember/Handlebars, Lightning Web Components (LWC), MJML, YAML, Markdown, CommonMark, GitHub-Flavored Markdown, MDX v1, GraphQL, and GraphQL Schemas, with community plugins for additional languages. Editor support includes Emacs, Espresso, Nova, Sublime Text, Vim, Visual Studio, VS Code, and WebStorm. It is regularly used by more than 83% of respondents to State of JS 2021 and more than 70% of respondents to State of JS 2020, and has more than 10 million dependent repositories on GitHub and more than 20.5k dependent packages on npm.
