Prilep Brewery

Prilep Brewery (Прилепска Пиварница) is a brewery founded in 1924 in Prilep, North Macedonia. According to its official website, it is today privately owned and, through continuous investment in its production process, has become one of the most modern breweries in the Balkans, with an annual brewhouse capacity of 582,000 hectolitres of beer. Its beer portfolio includes the domestic brands Zlaten Dab and Krali Marko, and it is the sole authorised distributor of Tuborg and Carlsberg. It also produces the carbonated soft drink Gazoza and, as an authorised bottler, fills Pepsi Cola International drinks including Pepsi, Pepsi Lime, Pepsi Max, 7UP, Mirinda Lemon and Mirinda Orange. It additionally imports Lipton Ice Tea and is an authorised importer of products of the Serbian brand Knjaz Miloš.

Prilep Brewery was founded in 1924, when construction began on the first industrial facility in Prilep — a brewery at a site called Krbla, in the Chachoritsa area. In 1953 a steam boiler for brewing beer was installed. In 1980 the company obtained the exclusive right and licence for Pepsi Cola and Mirinda, producing the international drink Pepsi Cola for the first time. According to its official website, continuous investment in the production process since its founding has steadily improved the quality of its existing products and led to new ones; today the brewery is privately owned, and investment in high technology has made it one of the most modern breweries in the Balkans, with an annual brewhouse capacity of 582,000 hectolitres of beer. It continues to fill licensed drinks Pepsi, Mirinda and 7UP.
