In motorsport, a rally team under RAVENOL advertising started in the German Rally Trophy with a Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo as early as the 1980s. For the 2004 season RAVENOL entered the German Production Car Championship, laying the foundation for the success of 'RAVENOL Motorsport'. One year later it participated as partner of the Ford-Hotfiel team in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), its first international competition. It has remained loyal to touring car racing over the years and has long served as 'Audi Sport Customer Racing Official Supplier', technically supporting the Audi RS3 LMS TCR.
