Red Magic 11 Pro Removed from 3DMark Rankings Over Benchmark 'Cheating'
3DMark detected that the Red Magic 11 Pro series identified benchmarking software during tests and lifted thermal throttling limits; measured performance differed by about 24% and body temperature exceeded 50°C, so it removed the device from its rankings. Nubia responded that a 'Dark Mode' allows users to manually enable equivalent performance. The brand's reputation was damaged.

Red Magic 3's Promised '5G Armor' Accessory Delayed
The Red Magic 3 was promoted as able to use 5G networks when connected to a '5G Armor' accessory, but one year after launch the accessory was still not on the market. Customer service said there were no plans due to technical limitations, and consumers complained it was an 'empty promise.' Lawyers said it could constitute false advertising.
