Reef Octopus is a brand under Honya Co. Ltd, founded in 2005. The company started with a vision to produce high quality products for the marine industry. Under the brand Reef Octopus, it offers a wide range of protein skimmers and also designs and produces commercial skimmers for public aquariums and aquaculture projects. The company also produces its own BLDC skimmer pumps and offers various pumps and sumps under the OCTO series.

Founded in 2005, Honya Co. Ltd started with a vision to produce high quality products for the marine industry. After more than a decade, the company has one of the widest ranges of protein skimmers under the brand Reef Octopus. The company took the step to design and produce its own BLDC skimmer pumps, becoming the first skimmer manufacturer in the world to produce skimmers and pumps completely in-house. Started as a manufacturer of home aquarium protein skimmers, it now also designs and produces commercial skimmers for public aquariums and aquaculture projects.
