Overview

ReiThera is a biotech company that helps biotech innovators transform breakthrough science into advanced therapies. It offers integrated development, analytical, regulatory, and GMP manufacturing services, supporting programs from early research to clinical and commercial readiness. The company develops and manufactures advanced genetic vaccines and biotherapeutics using proprietary platform technologies, including MVA, GRAD, and REICELL AAV.

History

ReiThera's scientific and management team has a proven track record in the development of genetic vaccines targeting infectious diseases such as hepatitis C, malaria, HIV, RSV, and Ebola. These efforts began at Okairos, a biotech company co-founded by Prof. Riccardo Cortese, Alfredo Nicosia, Antonella Folgori, and Stefano Colloca. At Okairos, the team developed the chimpanzee-derived adenovirus (ChAd) platform. ReiThera's founding team also established the Istituto di Ricerche di Biologia Molecolare (IRBM) in Rome, later a subsidiary of Merck Inc.
