To counter the pale cheeks of children in the post-war period, the brothers Walter and Günther Lauffs developed the healthy Rotbäckchen juice, described as the first juice of the nation for optimal supply of vitamins and minerals. In 1955 the first posters reached the hearts of the nation; alongside the juices, the founding family Lauffs lovingly produced advertising material for which their own grandchildren modeled. By 1965 Rotbäckchen was known throughout Germany, with 85% of the population knowing and loving it. Over the decades the range was continuously expanded from classic direct juices to nutritional supplements and special products for pregnant women, children and families. The brand states it remains true to its values: quality, high-quality direct juices and a loving brand presence, complemented by social engagement and a strong presence in digital media.
