Samindo Resources

Samindo Resources is an Indonesian investment holding company whose business is in coal mining services. Its activities include overburden removal, coal hauling, coal getting, and exploration drilling. It describes itself as an integrated coal mining company and states a commitment to Good Corporate Governance and sustainability. The company was formerly PT MYOH Technology Tbk and changed its corporate name to PT Samindo Resources Tbk in 2012, when it also changed its business direction to coal mining services.

Before the amalgamation into PT Samindo Resources Tbk, all subsidiaries had been in the domestic coal industry business, and for more than sixteen years the subsidiaries were entrusted to administer the coal mine owned by PT KIDECO Jaya Agung located in East Kalimantan. By the end of 2011, ST International Corporation, described as one of the respected companies from South Korea, acquired the majority shareholders of PT MYOH Technology Tbk. Subsequent to such acquisition, PT MYOH Technology Tbk undertook a corporate action by Right Issue I, the proceeds of which were used to acquire the majority shareholders of PT SIMS Jaya Kaltim. In 2012, PT MYOH Technology Tbk changed its corporate name into PT Samindo Resources Tbk, followed by a change in its business direction to coal mining services. In the same year, PT Samindo Resources Tbk conducted another corporate action by having Right Issue II, the proceeds of which were used to acquire PT Trasindo Murni Perkasa, PT Samindo Utama Kaltim and PT Mintec Abadi.
