Samyang Biopharm

Samyang Biopharm is a Korean biotech company. According to its official website, it aims to be a 'healthcare solution partner that improves quality of life' and produces medical devices and pharmaceuticals. It develops biodegradable sutures, improved anticancer drugs, and next-generation biopharmaceuticals including gene therapeutics.

Samyang Biopharm was established in 2025 as a division of Samyang Holdings' bio business. It originated from Samyang's pharmaceutical business in 1995. In 2011, Samyang Biopharm was spun off as a separate entity. In 2018, Samyang Biopharm USA Inc. was established in Boston (Cambridge). In 2022, a Hungarian subsidiary was established for global expansion of medical device business.
