The company's history includes the founding of Sanden Corporation in 1943, the start of production of ice cream stockers and refrigerated/frozen showcases in 1958, the development of a fountain-type juice vending machine in 1961, the acquisition of Vendo, the second-largest vending machine manufacturer in the US, in 1988, and the release of the 'Dorei-mon' frozen vending machine in 2021.
