Overview
Schwarze und Schlichte is a family-run company with over 360 years of experience in the production, development, and management of spirits brands. It is one of the leading providers in the German spirits market and a reliable partner for food retail, wholesale, and gastronomy. The portfolio includes Three Sixty Vodka, Knut Hansen Dry Gin, Déjà-Vu Aperitif, SHATLER's ready-to-serve cocktails, and the alcohol-free concept Soda Libre. Through exclusive distribution partnerships with international partners such as Proximo and Molinari, it offers an ideal portfolio in the premium and trend segment.
History
The company's roots lie in the Westphalian grain distillery Friedr. Schwarze in Westkirchen, with documentary evidence in church archives from 1664. In 1738, Joan Hermann Schwarze moved the entire company headquarters to Oelde, acquiring citizenship and marrying the daughter of an innkeeper and distiller, laying the foundation for the Oelder Kornbrennerei Schwarze. In 1836, Gottfried Schwarze went to America for 1.5 years, and a profitable yeast factory action led to success against cheap potato distilleries.
