History
Mindset was co-founded in 2010 by Rana Samara and Anas Al Masri, starting its operations in Jordan. Rana Samara stepped into the role of Managing Director in 2012, becoming a driving force behind the firm's growth and its ability to deliver client-focused solutions. The company was established with a founding pillar to expand the ecosystem of Jordanians who use research, data and evidence to achieve results they have identified, prioritized and are committed to. From its Jordan base, Mindset expanded to other countries and continents. It registered in the United Arab Emirates, where it has been working in the public sector since 2017. In Dubai, its efforts centered on culture and tourism, including creating materials for the Maritime Museum and studying the effects of Dubai's cultural influence on tourism within the city and around the world. In Abu Dhabi, the team supported local authorities to track, measure and enhance the impact of culture and cultural assets on the social and economic growth of the emirate. In 2018, Mindset was officially registered in Nigeria, allowing it to expand its experience on the African continent. In Nigeria, the team has been involved in third-party monitoring of health projects, workforce management in the health sector, governance and social protection. Besides work for international organizations and NGOs, Mindset has implemented a self-funded study as part of "Mindset Initiatives." Mindset has since grown to operate across Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Ukraine, with operations in Lebanon and Tunisia. The firm has completed over 1 million interviews, verifications, direct measurements and participant observations, and more than 300 research, MEL, independent verification, capacity-building and technical assistance projects. Its projects cover more than 20 disciplines and focus areas, including migration and displacement, global health, food security and nutrition, child and youth protection, cash assistance, gender inclusion, economic development and education.
