Skorpioni

Skorpioni was a Finnish independent record label that emerged from Helsinki's Punavuori district and later operated from Hermanni. It focused primarily on rap music and became known as a home for a broad roster of Finnish hip-hop and related artists. The label was founded by Henrik "Herkules" Suhonen, DJ Double M, Cool DJ Pinball and Julius Konttinen; Suhonen also served as the company's head of artist selection. Over its active years Skorpioni released music by artists including D1 DANI, DJ Ibusal, Fabe, FETTI, GoodJobLarry, ibe, Kah Pao, Kauriinmetsästäjät, Lake Jons, MELO, NCO, Nelma U, nonexx, NOTO, SITOI, SKII6, Sliki & Hamuelos, Turisti, Vepu and Versace Henrik. The roster reflected the label's position within Finnish rap and adjacent indie scenes rather than a single narrow subgenre. In spring 2025 Skorpioni announced that it would cease operations. In July 2025 Warner Music Finland announced that it had acquired the label's music catalogue, marking the end of Skorpioni as an independent operation and the transfer of its recordings to a major-label owner. The label's website, skorpioni.live, is no longer configured and returns a 403 error, consistent with its defunct status.
