Solutionreach is a patient engagement software company that helps healthcare practices reduce no-shows and boost revenue with automated recalls, appointment reminders, two-way texting, and more. Solutionreach began in 2000 when founder Jim Higgins created Communitect, a company that enabled banks to text their customers. After learning about patient no-shows in dental practices, Communitect integrated with dental Practice Management Systems and was rebranded to Smile Reminder. By 2005, Smile Reminder added email reminders, patient recall, and customizable newsletters. By 2011, the company became a robust platform and expanded beyond dental to other healthcare providers, becoming the standard for patient engagement among optometrists, cosmetic surgeons, and others.
