Overview

SQlab is a manufacturer of bicycle components focused on cycling ergonomics. Its product range covers saddles, handlebars, grips, innerbarends, stems, pedals, accessories and bikewear, designed for comfort and optimal fit across riding styles and bike types. The company bases product selection on measurement concepts for the three contact points to the bike — sit bones, hands and feet — and offers a measure-at-home kit as well as measurement by trained SQlab retailers. SQlab was founded in 2003, with the first step saddle and Wing grip, following development of sit bone measurement in 2002. The company moved to Taufkirchen in 2011 and relocated to Oberhaching to Boards and More in 2024.

History

SQlab was founded in 2003, together with the first step saddle and Wing grip, after the development of sit bone measurement in 2002. Grips became available in three sizes for the first time in 2006, followed by the SQlab active system in 2008. The company moved to Taufkirchen in 2011. In 2015 the ERGOWAVE® Step saddle concept was introduced. A first bike pants concept and grip concept followed in 2019, and the M-D Line in 2020. In 2021 SQlab produced its first saddle made in Germany and fused with Boards and More. Innerbarends for multiple fields of application were added in 2023. In 2024 the company relocated to Oberhaching to Boards and More, and in 2025 an image campaign and rebranding took place.
