Overview

TAG Aviation describes itself as a leading private jet company delivering business aviation services with Swiss precision. Its stated service areas include private aircraft management, charter, maintenance, FBO handling and global training. The company traces its heritage to 1966, when Aeroleasing was created and began chartering third-party aircraft, and it states that it has operated for 60 years. TAG Global Training was established in 2007 to train pilots and cabin crew, and is based at Farnborough Airport. TAG Aviation also reports industry recognition, including being named Best Operator and Safety Champion in 2025 and Charter Service of the Year in Robb Report Singapore's Best of the Best in 2025.

History

TAG Aviation's official history page states 'Swiss precision since 1966.' It records that in 1966 Aeroleasing (ALG) was created and worked with third-party aircraft for the purpose of chartering, beginning with a twin-engine Piper Aztec aircraft. A phase of expansion followed with IOS (Investors Overseas Services - Bernard Cornfeld), and business jet activities began with a Convair CV-240 aircraft equipped as an executive version. Aeroleasing completed the first Around the World tour in 68 hours on an F50 for medical repatriation missions. In 1970 the first challenges arose with the loss of a major customer, and from 1972 onwards things began to improve. In 1975 the first long-distance flight on a Falcon 20 took place, flying from Geneva to Singapore via Istanbul, Ankara, Tehran, Karachi, Islamabad, Calcutta, Rangoon and Bangkok. In 1978 Aeroleasing started Health and Sanitary Operations, becoming an important part of operations with sensitive missions for the TCS and SOS Assistance, of which Aeroleasing was one of the founding members. Aeroleasing became the 'go-to' for transportation of stars, political personalities and leading international organisations. TAG Global Training was established in 2007 to train both pilots and cabin crew, and is based at Farnborough Airport. The homepage states that for 60 years TAG has delivered business aviation service, and that it has managed private and business jets for aircraft owners since 1966.
