Tonze (Chinese: 天际) is the consumer brand of Tonze New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (天际新能源科技股份有限公司), a Chinese listed company founded in 1996 and headquartered in Guangdong. The company operates two main business divisions: a household small-appliance business under the Tonze brand, and a new-energy materials business centered on lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), a key raw material for lithium-ion batteries. In 2022 the company also formally changed its name from Guangdong Tonze Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. (广东天际电器股份有限公司) to Tonze New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (天际新能源科技股份有限公司), signaling the rising importance of the new-energy business alongside its appliance heritage. Capacity continued to scale: 30,000 tonnes of LiPF6 were commissioned in 2023, and 50,000 tonnes in 2024, which the company says opens new space for future development.
