Torres Brandy

Torres Brandy is a premium brandy and spirits brand from Familia Torres. Its brandy-making began in 1928, when Juan Torres Casals, second generation of the Torres family, started aging brandy made from the best white wines of Penedès in oak barrels. The brand's portfolio includes Torres 5, Torres 10, Torres 10 Double Barrel, Torres Spiced, Torres 15, Torres Alta Luz, Torres 20 and Jaime I, along with Reserva del Mamut for collectors. Torres 10 was first marketed in 1946, and Torres 20 has been named Best Brandy in the World at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

In 1870, Jaime and Miguel Torres founded the Familia Torres company and built its headquarters building and winery. In 1928, Juan Torres Casals, second generation of the Torres family, began using oak barrels to age brandy made from the best white wines of Penedès. In 1939, the winery and distillery were bombed and the winery was partially destroyed; it was rebuilt in 1940 and production started again. Torres 10 was first marketed in 1946 and became one of the brand's flagship brandies. In 1985, Matías Llobet was appointed Master Distiller. Torres 20 was named Best Brandy in the World at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 1997, 2006 and 2019, and also received an award at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. In 2010 and 2015, the British magazine Drink Business honoured Torres as Green Company of the Year for its commitment to renewable energies. Torres 15 was launched in 2013 as a versatile brandy created for mixing. In 2015, Jaime I received the prize for Best Brandy in the World at the World Brandy Awards.
