Overview

Trans Val-d'Oise, commonly known by the abbreviation TransVO, was a public transport company operating in the Île-de-France region of France. It ran bus lines serving the Gonesse basin, a network organised by Île-de-France Mobilités. The network primarily served the commune of Gonesse and neighbouring communes, and to a lesser extent the Seine-Saint-Denis department. It consisted of nine regular lines, two of which were school-oriented. The network was operated under the Transdev group. On 3 March 2011, Veolia Transport, then a subsidiary of Veolia Environnement and the entity managing the operation, merged with Transdev to create Veolia Transdev, becoming the world's leading private transport group. Two years later, in March 2013, the group, heavily indebted, adopted the name Transdev following Veolia Environnement's withdrawal. The network underwent restructuring. On 14 November 2016, with the commissioning of line 20, the network was reorganised: line 22 was rerouted via boulevard du 19-Mars-1962 and served the Gonesse hospital centre; line 23 was limited to Fontaine Cypierre and extended on weekdays at certain times to Aulnay-sous-Bois station; line 23zi was renumbered as line 25; line 36 gained an off-peak service Monday to Friday between Villiers-le-Bel - Gonesse - Arnouville station and the Rond-point de Bonneuil stop; line 37 saw its frequency increased to a bus every twenty minutes, and its terminus at the Gonesse hospital centre was moved to the Rond-point de Bonneuil stop; the Navette Interquartiers was discontinued due to low ridership. From 4 September 2017, a second restructuring took place: line 20 saw reduced frequencies early morning and late evening due to low ridership; line 22 was rerouted via the Aéroville shopping centre and gained an off-peak service of one bus every fifty minutes; line 23 was strengthened during peak hours with a bus every eight minutes instead of ten, and in the evening between 20:00 and 21:00 with a bus every quarter-hour; its Fontaine Cypierre terminus was moved to the La Malmaison stop, and the line was extended on weekends to the O'Parinor shopping centre; line 24 had its journey times adjusted to better adapt to traffic conditions; line 24sco had its service adapted to the new entry and exit times of Lycée René-Cassin; line 36 had its off-peak frequencies changed from thirty minutes to 35 minutes to operate its runs more efficiently, and the evening peak hour now began at 15:30. On 1 August 2023, as part of the opening to competition, lines 20, 22, 23, 24, 24sco, 25, 35, 36 and 37 were integrated into the Roissy Ouest bus network and operated by Keolis through a subsidiary created for the occasion. The vehicles had their bus centre in Gonesse, at 8-10 rue Berthelot. The depot also ensured preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment. Corrective maintenance took place when a breakdown or malfunction was reported by a driver. With the opening of the TCSP Barreau de Gonesse, a new depot was to open in Villepinte, behind that of the TRA bus network.
