Overview

TT Fusion is a British video game developer based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, England. Formerly known as Embryonic Studios, it was acquired by Traveller's Tales (part of the TT Games group) in 2007. The studio is composed of key personnel from Gizmondo/Warthog and has primarily developed handheld and console versions of LEGO video games, including Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Nintendo DS), Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (Nintendo DS), Lego Batman: The Videogame (Nintendo DS), Lego Harry Potter: Years 1–4 (PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, iOS), Lego City Undercover (Wii U), and Lego Jurassic World (PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, iOS). TT Fusion operates as part of TT Games, which was founded in 1989 and joined the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment family in 2007. TT Games is a BAFTA award-winning studio and the official LEGO video game studio, having produced over 60 games and selling over 7 million copies of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game alone. TT Fusion contributes to this legacy by developing portable and complementary versions of major LEGO titles, helping to expand the franchise across Nintendo and PlayStation platforms.

History

TT Fusion was originally established as Embryonic Studios, formed by key personnel from Gizmondo/Warthog. In 2007, it was acquired by Traveller's Tales, which is part of the TT Games group. Following the acquisition, the studio was renamed TT Fusion and became the handheld-focused development arm of TT Games. Its early output included Nintendo DS versions of major LEGO titles such as Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (2007), Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (2008), and Lego Batman: The Videogame (2008). The studio also developed Guinness World Records: The Videogame (2008) for Wii, Nintendo DS, and iOS. In 2009, it released Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues for PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS, and Lego Rock Band for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The following year saw The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest (2010) for multiple platforms and Lego Harry Potter: Years 1–4 (2010) for PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and iOS. In 2011, TT Fusion developed Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game for PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS. A major milestone came in 2013 with Lego City Undercover for Wii U, an open-world title that was a system exclusive, alongside its Nintendo 3DS prequel Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins. That same year, the studio worked on The Lego Movie Videogame for a wide range of platforms. In 2015, it released Lego Jurassic World for PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, and iOS. Throughout its history, TT Fusion has operated under the TT Games umbrella, which itself was founded in 1989 and joined Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in 2007. TT Games is a BAFTA award-winning studio and the official LEGO video game studio, having produced over 60 games. TT Fusion continues to contribute to the LEGO franchise by developing portable and complementary versions of major titles.
